Goiana (pronounced IPA: [gojɐnɐ] listen) is a coastal municipality in the state of Pernambuco, located in the Northeast. Its population in 2009 was 74,424 inhabitants, [7] thus having the second largest population in the Forest Zone, the largest of its micro (Zona da Mata Norte) and the 19th of his state.
